FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, the devil has relentlessly bombarded the Marriage Institution, seeking, if possible, to bring it to complete extinction. Why? Because he knows that Marriage in it’s Original form as instituted by God is crucially strategic to God and Man; and to life on planet earth in general.
In Satan’s quest to crush the Marriage Institution and deny you and I of it’s tremendous and manifold Lifesaving and life-giving benefits, he has craftily introduced several Alternative and false versions of marriage which many have unfortunately embraced.
Dearly Beloved, what kind of marriage do you have? What “version” of Marriage have you accepted and are practicing?
The American Version? Revised African Standard Marriage? Hollywood Version? Movie Based Version?
Long ago, when I was in Form One, our Literature text book was Charles Dickens’s OLIVER TWIST. Every time our Literature Master came to class it was an academic feast as we all loved the story of Oliver Twist, the orphaned boy.
When I got to Form Three, I realized that the text we had so much celebrated as Freshers, wasn’t the original book. It was the ABRIDGED VERSION of Charles Dickens great literary work. What we read so gleefully was a version that had SO MANY details of the original work removed! Yes, what we so much loved was a mere children’s edition! No one sitting for a Certificate exam would ever use it and pass!
Dearly Beloved, could it be what you have as Marriage is an Abridged Version, the watered down version and not the Original? And could that be why yours isn’t a fulfilling union but a continually distressful cohabitation?
I’ve got Good News for you! And it’s that there’s hope. In the days ahead we’ll touch on things that you’ll do and your marriage will become an Original.
