🍋🥑🍎🥭Across the nations of the world today, the horrible lie in the first verse of our anchor scripture is widely believed by millions; which is why Adultery is so widespread and on the increase . The devil has deceived their minds and hearts to believe that evil is good, darkness is light and that the bitter is sweet!(Isaiah 5:20)
🍋🥑🍎🥭The second verse of our anchor scripture, however, shows us the fate that eventually befalls those who drink stolen waters and eat secret bread: they become dead and end up in the cavenous belly of Hell.
🍋🥑🍎🥭The tragedy of infidelity is not only the grim fate that awaits such men and women in Hell but also the disgrace, shame and humiliation that covers them in this present life after they’re caught.
🍋🥑🍎🥭Sometime last year, I saw a video of a Pastor who was surrounded by the neighbours of a pregnant woman he went to visit. They began hitting him and pulled him out of the compound. He was pleading but all his plea fell on deaf ears as they soon pushed him to the ground. It was like a bad dream yet real. Men and women tore up his dress and he was soon COMPLETELY stark naked. And as he was being humiliated, phones were video-recording his misery. After a while, they pulled him up from the ground and began matching him to his house!
🍋🥑🍎🥭Just imagine his wife coming out at the noise of an approaching mob, just like everyone else in the neighbourhood, only to see her husband, a Pastor, being dragged home completely naked!
🍋🥑🍎🥭The day I saw the video, I silently wondered how that Preacher would gather the shattered and fragmented pieces of his life! Of course, his Ministry was instantly in utter ruins. And perhaps his marriage too. What would he tell parents and his siblings? How would he explain to his in-laws?
🍋🥑🍎Sir/Ma, when the devil comes advertising adultery to you and calling it “Cheating”, don’t be a fool!!!
🍋🥑🍎🥭The woman who was caught in the “very act” of adultery and brought to Christ is a biblical instance(John 8). While we are happy about the mercy Christ graciously showed to her by speaking a Word that made her accusers to all go away, the fact remains that her reputation was completely damaged that day. And it’s most unlikely that her husband would take her back into his home as wife again, after being caught naked with another man atop her.
🍋🥑🍎🥭Sir/Ma, don’t be fooled to believe that “stolen waters is sweet” and that “bread eaten in secret is pleasant”. It’s a lie from Lucifer, the devil. It reduces a man/woman to a mere slice of bread(Proverbs 6:26;32-33).
🍋🥑🍎🥭Is the devil dangling some beautiful woman or a handsome man before you and telling you that they’re sexually “Super Sweet”? Don’t be deceived!
🍋🥑🍎🥭Sir/Ma, beware, Beware, BEWARE!!
🍋🥑🍎🥭Be content with your spouse. Don’t be fooled to believe that there’s a sexually tastier woman/man “out there”. All men and women taste exactly the same sexually! Because the same God made them all!
