WHEN WE BECOME BORN AGAIN, GOD WANTS OUR LIFE IN IT’S ENTIRETY to outwardly manifest the work of regeneration that He has done in our hearts.
This means that, the powerful words of 2 Corinthians 5: 17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; and all things are become new”, must become evident in all aspects of our lives including our marriages; and especially in our conduct as Spouses.
Our anchor scripture charges us to take a revolutionary position and it’s that of rebellion against the ways of the world. We must develop an aversion or a hatred for the world and it’s ways. We must boldly adapt ourselves to the scriptural way of living; including how we live our married life. Our marriages must be NEW and we as Spouses must become transformed covenant Lovers.
BECOMING TRANSFORMED COVENANT LOVERS (SPOUSES)
According to our anchor verse, the power that effects the transformation of our lives is God’s Word. It does this first by RENEWING OUR MINDS, which is the seat of decision making and choices.
The first marriage consisted of two persons and they were Male and Female. The male was completely MALE and the female was completely FEMALE.
But what do we see in the world today? There are husbands who are partly female as evident in their plaited hair and earrings; and you’re left wondering if they are Gay even though they “have” a wife at home. And there are wives who are partially male as one could easily see from how they dress like men, talk like men and sport men’s hair styles.
As Christian Spouses, we’re Pilgrims and Strangers in this world, Ambassadors of Christ, the Salt of the Earth, the Light of the world and Children of God’s Kingdom. We must therefore live differently and practice marriage strictly according to the dictates of God’s Word. We are not called to behave according to the socially acceptable standards of the world but to live transformed lives that are in obedience to the Lord Who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. And as Christian Spouses, these must reflect clearly in our day to day living for all to see.
You can’t claim to be a Christian husband and still be beating up, bullying, maltreating and harassing your wife. Neither can you claim to be a Christian housewife and you’re contentious, rebellious, unsubmissive to your husband; punishing him with sexual starvation from time to time.
Rather God wants to see us TRANSFORMED BY HIS WORD into a NEW CREATION SPOUSES that the world will hungrily and eagerly emulate!
TRANSFORMED MARRIAGES
God wants your marriage to be completely different from those of the world. Completely! And the earlier you know, believe and practice this, the better for you and your life partner.
There are many things worldly couples bring into their bedroom lives in the name of modernity that you, as child of Light, must completely keep away from. They include Anal Sex, Threesome Sex, Sex Toys, etc.
Your marriage bedroom is, physically speaking, the very centre of your matrimony and it matters what you allow therein. It’s a hallowed place and you must see to it that you don’t bring any of the practices of the world into it. Let your bedroom practices have the approval God and His Word.
For instance, Anal Sex cannot have the approval of God’s Word. The Anus is not an entry point for the husband’s manhood. The Anus in both men and women is the EXIT for bodily wastes. It’s evil for a husband to seek Anal Sex from his wife. We can’t keep quiet on this anymore because some churchgoing husbands are demanding this from their wives. As a wife, you must NEVER consent to such a request from your husband in the name of submission. NEVER DO IT! Anal sex was developed from the world of Sorcery where they use it to work sex magic. It has no place in the sacred union called Marriage.
The people of the world practice Threesome whereby they allow a friend of the couple or someone else to join them in their bedroom and participate in their intimacy. This shouldn’t surprise anyone because they(the people of the world) also practice Wife Swapping, which is exchanging their wives. This is mutually consented adultery and it’s horrifyingly evil!
In the world, some of their couples now integrate sex toys into their bedroom lives. As a believing couple, you don’t need man-made apparatus to be able to enjoy good Sex in your marriage. The Lord has given to every wife all she needs for bedroom satisfaction and they are in the body of her husband. And vice versa. No body needs any sex toys in their marriage bedroom. Besides, those evil inventions have negative side effects that include numbing the sexual organs and making them incapable of sensitivity and response. They also alter the natural sexual systems of their users. So beware! Many things out there in the world are not what they seem. Be not conformed to the world!
