THE VIRTUOUS AND VOLUPTUOUS WOMAN OF PROVERBS 31 (PT. 2)

Scripture:
‘(1) Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (2) The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.’
(PROVERBS 31: 30; PSALM 119: 130)

GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY SUNDAY, DEARLY BELOVED! LET’S BEGIN BY READING SOME PARAGRAPHS from yesterday’s devotional piece:

“The first thing our anchor scripture passage tells us about the virtuous woman is THE POSITION OF HER HUSBAND’S HEART TOWARDS HER. She enjoys total and implicit trust from her Man. That verse(verse 11) goes on to tell us that her husband lacks nothing. He enjoys all the “booties” or bounties that are his in his relationship with her. This definitely includes lavish and constant romantic and sexual satisfaction that left no room for strange women to tempt her man.

“Oh, you had always thought that the virtuous woman only worked, worked and worked and then would go to the synagogue and pray for hours and then return home to sit at her loom and thereafter keep awake all night making Girdles to sell to merchants? No! She was a red-blooded woman with breasts, nipples, luscious lips, a beautiful clitoris and a fiery libido; and she was not hypocritical. Verse 12 of our scripture passage tells us that she continually did her husband good and never evil all throughout her life with him. This means she wasn’t just a resourceful woman who brought much wealth into the family. She was also a faithfully and fervently romantic, affectionate, passionate and sexually thrilling housewife whose bedroom efficiency was always 100%; and her husband consequently never needed to steal a glance at other women.

“Beloved, if your picture of the virtuous woman has been that of an ever busy Madam who had no time to be with her husband and serve him as his SEXUAL LOVER, then it’s high time you dropped that picture.

“The Biblical Virtuous Woman of Proverbs 31 was first a sweet, sultry, voluptuous and sensationally sexy woman in the bedroom before she appeared as a successful lady outside. If she’s your role model, then prioritize your relationship with your husband first and thereafter build other things.”

Now, it may come as a surprise to you to hear that all the admirable and praiseworthy qualities of the virtuous woman stemmed from just one thing: HER POSSESSION OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD!

“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: BUT A WOMAN THAT FEARETH THE LORD, SHE SHALL BE PRAISED.”

(Proverbs 31:30). And the fear of the Lord comes with WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. So the virtuous woman was filled with the fear of God, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. All these qualities are received from the Word of God as our second anchor scripture tells us(Psalm 119:130). This means, you can also access and possess the Fear of God by filling your life with God’s Word.

The virtuous woman brings the same spirit of total commitment, diligence and attention to details with which she does her businesses into her matrimonial life.

Consequently, she doesn’t only excell and outperform all the daughters in character and industriousness but also in all aspects of her matrimonial life.

Hear what the Scripture says of her:

“Many daughters have done virtuously, BUT THOU EXCELLEST THEM ALL.” (Proverbs 31:29). She excelled in everything including in sexual intimacy with her husband. Her virtuousness and excellence weren’t enjoyed by her clients, customers, maids, and other outsiders alone while her husband was treated to humdrum, passive, lacklustre and lazy “sexual handouts” that would make him long for polygamy. No! She was a spiritually alert lady who, like the Men of Issachar(1 Chronicles 12:32), knew what she ought to do in her home and in the bedroom per time.

Is it any wonder then that her husband didn’t take a second wife in a dispensation and generation when a vast majority of the men towed the path of polygamy and concubinage? He saw no need for a second wife because she was romantically and sexually like twelve women rolled into one!

Remember the words of Elkanah to Hannah? “Am I not more than ten sons to you?”(1 Samuel 1:8) He could say this because he totally committed and immersed himself into loving Hannah. Commit yourself to loving your husband and you’ll be like “twelve women rolled into one” for him.
