DEAR WIFE, GOD’S WILL IS THAT you be a fruitful Vine in the house of your husband as our anchor scripture for this morning tells us. Fruitfulness in this instance includes childbearing but goes well beyond it. God wants you to be like the Vine of Palestine to which our anchor scripture refers.
The Vines of Palestine were known for their luxuriant growth as well as for the immense clusters of grapes which they constantly yielded.
The Vine is by nature
a weak and tender tree, that needs propping and supporting; and often is fastened to the sides of a house as our anchor scripture tells us. The Vine is used as a representation of the Wife to express the weakness and tenderness of the female sex and their need for tender, delicate and sensitive handling by the husband as commanded in 1 Peter 3: 7
It should interest you to know that Vines are not only planted near the house, they are also planted INSIDE THE HOUSE! The Vine is the only tree that men plant indoors; which, when it is grown up, they bring out at a hole or window of the house without, to have the sun and air; and so its root is within the house, and the branches without. This is just as a God-fearing woman is within the house as “keepers at home” (Titus 2:5) and does not go about, and is only seen by her husband; but her children, like the branches of the vine, go out and make impact on the society. She’s unlike the unfaithful wives whose feet abide not at home (Proverbs 7:11-12) but are here and there and when asked about their movement are evasive and economical with answers.
What is the Vine known and famous for? The Vine is globally known for its very rich grapes from which Wines of various types are made!
In the Parable of the Trees in the Book of Judges, the Vine Tree was approached by the “Citizens of the Global Republic of Trees” and offered the “Presidency of the Botanical Kingdom”. What was it’s answer? Here is it: “AND THE VINE SAID UNTO THEM, SHOULD I LEAVE MY WINE, WHICH CHEERETH GOD AND MAN, AND GO TO BE PROMOTED OVER THE TREES?”(Judges 9:13). So the Vine’s most known and dominant usefulness is that it produces Wine that brings CHEERS, CELEBRATION, REJOICING AND GLADNESS TO THE HEARTS OF MEN. The Scripture says:
“A feast is made for laughter, and WINE MAKETH MERRY”(Ecclesiastes 10:19a). There can never be a feast without Wine. So Wine is a big part of what fuels laughter at feasts and celebrations. Wine makes the heart MERRY! Who produces the grapes from which the wines are made? The tender and seemingly weak Vine! Similarly, the seemingly weak Wife is the Vine that supplies the Wine in the family.
When God therefore wills that you be a Fruitful Vine in the House of your Husband it means that He has given you the precious and luscious grapes of Attractiveness, Favour, Feminine Sweetness, Motherly Love, Sexual Charms, Beauty, Kindness, Helpfulness, Compassion, Wisdom, Tact, Sobriety, Affection, Understanding, Passion, Sexual Deftness, Romantic Acumen, Skill with children, etc, with which to cheer up and refresh your Husband, children and family daily.
The first beneficiary of your Wine ministry is your husband. Yes, you are to minister to him daily the Wine of comfort and consolation like Rebecca did in the life of Isaac. You are to bless him with the clusters of feminine friendliness and the wisdom of wise and timely counsels!
Many years ago, I heard a woman cry out wistfully on a Radio talk show: “Oh, you Husband Snatcher, Oh you Husband Snatcher!” But the truth is, many of the Wives aren’t awake to their calling as Ministers of Wine to their husbands. If they did, there would be no incidences of Husband Snatching. When you’re alert, watchful over your husband and armed with prayer, who is the strange woman that will come as assailant to overpower you and carry off your husband from your bosom and from between your thighs? The simple truth is, many wives don’t see their husbands as precious enough to treasure and protect.
Dear beautiful Wife, stop being stubborn and hostile towards your beloved Husband because of his faults and shortcomings. You’ll only succeed in pushing him out to the wilderness (Proverbs 21:9,19) where there are outstretched arms of dangerous seductresses eagerly waiting to grab him.
Make yourself the Vine Wine that He drinks peacefully daily until he’s addicted to you. You probably didn’t know that you’re Vine. Thank God, you now know. A Woman is one of the strongest Wines that can addict a man. Give the Wine of your Beauty, Affection, Passion, Sexual Intimacy, etc, to your husband to drink daily. Once he’s addicted to the taste of your feminity and bedroom brand, Husband Snatchers will not be able to draw him out from your bosom. Hear what the Bible says:
“No one who drinks a well-aged wine wants new wine, but says, ‘The well-aged wine is better.'”(Luke 5: 39 CEB)
“Also, nobody wants to drink new wine after he has drunk old wine. He will say, “The old wine is much better.” ’(Luke 5:39 EASY)
Madam, you’re the Old Wine that’s well brewed and rich in taste. Get your husband DRUNK on yourself daily and once he’s addicted to you, he’ll refuse New Wines(student/campus prostitutes, sex workers, sex hawkers, pornography, paedophilia, etc) and say: The Old Wine is BETTER AND BEST!
