🎸🪗🎙️(2) The Second Protection: Have The Right Gender Conduct In Marriage.

🪗The Bible tells us that Man was created as Male and Female(Genesis 1:27).

🪗The Bible further makes it clear that the woman was created FOR the man, OUT OF the man, is the GLORY of the man and her husband is her HEAD (Genesis 2:18, 22; 1 Corinthians 11:3,8-9). So God commands her to reverence her husband and submit herself to him(Ephesians 5:22-24)

🪗And the husband who is the head in the marriage union is commanded to love his wife as deeply as Christ loved the Church and gave His very life for her. In other words, he is to love his wife supremely and extravagantly!

🪗In marriage, God wants each of the genders to conduct themselves in their specific roles as clearly assigned them in the last two paragraphs.

🪗Even though the husband is in the position of leadership in the marriage, he’s not to be arrogant, domineering, tyrannical or oppressive to the wife but be selfless, humble and a self-sacrificing lover to his wife(Ephesians 5:25)

🪗The wife is the Body of the husband and God requires her to conduct herself in the spirit of humility and obedience rather than rebellion and contention. She’s to defer to the authority of her husband.

🪗When Spouses consistently live in this manner, there’ll be peace, harmony and cordiality in their union. Even if a thousand legions of demons are sent from hell to break up that marriage, they’ll fail woefully. Why? Because they’re united in love and nothing can stop them or put them assunder!(Genesis 11:6)

🎸🪗🎙️(3) The Third Protection: Understanding

🪗Understanding is a spiritual quality. It’s the ability to see things as God sees them. Put another way, it’s the ability to see things through the lense of the Word of God only.

🪗One of the “axes” used by the devil to break up marriages is lack of understanding. Those who harbour this negative mindset are prone to arguing and resisting what the Bible says. They’ll say: “How can a man be satisfied with only one woman? A man is free to have one or two women outside.” This is why we still have many husbands who are unfaithful. Once a man is keeping another woman outside, he’s a transgressor of the marriage covenant he has with his wife. He’s a spiritually a “Hedge Breaker”. By that act of unfaithfulness and “Hedge Breaking” the Gate of his marriage is already open. Marriage Destroyers which the Bible calls “Serpents” can now freely move in and out as they please and bite both him and his wife(Ecclesiastes 10:8)

🪗But when a husband and wife walk in Understanding and see adultery as the deadly sin that God’s Word said it is, their marriage, family and home will be securely safe from the spirits of sexual vice that are freely roaming about and the “Serpents” that follow them.

🪗As you can see, most of the things that serve as protectives to Marriages are in the lives of the couple themselves.

🪗Use them and your marriage will stand out strong, tall and unassailable!
