USING THE YULETIDE TO RENEW AND REINVIGORATE YOUR MARRIAGE

Scripture:
‘For, lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; The time of the singing of birds is come, And the voice of the turtle Is heard in our land; The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grape Give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.’

THE YULETIDE IS ONE SEASON OF THE YEAR that’s distinctly different from all the others, because it’s filled with feasting, gifting, laughter, reunions, joy, felicitations, delight and anticipations.

For Married Lovers and Marriage Enthusiasts, it’s a season to seize for optimal use in seasoning their love lives.

As we’ve taught in Marriage Seminars and Lovebirds’ Devotional, marriage was basically instituted for companionship.
It’s therefore Spouses duty to deepen their friendship and fondness for each other at every opportunity especially the one offered offered by the good weather and joy-saturated atmosphere that the Yuletide presents.

Ways you and your Spouse can together use the rest of this jolly season to grow your relationship as a couple:

1) In the mornings, renew your connectivity by spending some time hugging, embracing and kissing. By this you’ve lit the fire of your romance for the day. While you’re apart for the rest of the day because of your respective work or business, this fire will keep burning.

2) In the course of the day, send romantic and erotic text messages to each other intentionally and deliberately; irrespective of how low or negative you may feel.
Those text messages will fuel the fire you kindled in each other before leaving home.

3) When you meet at home at the end of your respective work day, spend some minutes in welcoming each other with hugs, embraces and a lingering kiss.

4) Flirt with each other in the course of the evening.
Husband, chase your wife.
And wife, make the chase easy by letting him catch you!

5) This is the Yuletide, the season of Carols!
Some evenings, just after supper get together in the bedroom and sing some Christmas Carols and regular church hymns. Songs have the power of rearranging moods and feelings.

6) Your sex life is at the core of marriage union. Get it to new and higher levels during this yuletide.

Your bedroom life shouldn’t be stuck on one spot for years with monotonous practices you both know have become boring and uninspiring.
During this yuletide, up the volume of sexual intimacy in your marriage. Achieving that is a sign of matrimonial growth.
