In yesterday’s Devotional, we saw how Jabez refused to let his circumstances and experiences define his life and destiny. He instead turned to God in Prayer.

Jabez prayed and asked for a number of things. Today, we are looking at just one of them and that’s “Territorial Enlargement”.

Jabez, even though poor and struggling, desired a larger-than-normal life and God gave it to him.

Similarly, Spouses shouldn’t be content with a small or medium size Marriage that’s barely making it. No!

Unfortunately, many are okay with a relationship that’s shrinking by the day.

Why people go into the filth of infidelity and extramarital affair is because they are ignorant of the fact that their marriage is massive love world that is so vast they can’t finish exploring it in their life time. Why wonder off to go and sleep with another person when you haven’t even explored 1 % of the love deposits that God has stockpiled in your Spouse’s life for your enjoyment? Infact, infidelity is an open display of the lowest level of idiocy and stupidity.

Spouses should, like Jabez, desire “territorial enlargement” of their love lives.

Marital territorial enlargement makes a marriage fresher, sweeter and more thrilling. It makes a marriage new every day!

Move forward into new frontiers and horizons of romance.
Be imaginative. Use your minds.
Creatively experiment and discover new ways to express love to each other. Explore and discover the romantic personality in you and express it to your Spouse.
