🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷After reading yesterday’s devotional message, I’m sure you don’t want to be a “Swine Spouse” or a “Dog Spouse.” Swine spouses don’t only hurt and disgrace their marriage partners; they end up harming themselves even more.
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷WINE SPOUSES!
Today, we are looking at another kind of married couple. These are the WINE SPOUSES. This is where God wants you to belong.
🍷In the Song of Solomon, we have two amazing Wine Spouses. Hear the excited and unabashed words of the lady, which she condensed into a song:
📖“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.” (Song of Solomon 1:2).
🍇This lady had a desire to be kissed by her spouse and was not ashamed to say so explicitly. And what makes it all the more beautiful is that there is no negative, awkward, or reproachful response from her man, taunting her for being so forward in her expression. The lady further declared that her man’s love was “better than wine,” and the man, unlike the husband in yesterday’s devotional, did not find what she said to be immodest for a lady to say.
🍷Is it any wonder that throughout the Song of Solomon, the woman was as explicit in her romantic expressions as the man? This is exactly what it should be in every marriage.
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷MEN AND WOMEN ARE EQUALLY CONSTRUCTED
There shouldn’t be a difference between the wife and the husband in their expression of liberty in the domain of romance and sexual love.
🍇God created the woman with as fervent and intense a sex drive as the man—not any less! He also endowed her with the capacity to enjoy sexual intimacy as avidly, as deeply, and as intensely as the man, and to enjoy it even more!
🍷You know why? Because a woman has over 10,000 nerve endings in the glans of her clitoris alone and more than 15,000 in her pelvic region, while the penis has about 4,000 nerve endings in its glans.
🍇And while the man has to wait for some time after ejaculation before proceeding with a new sexual episode, a woman can experience multiple sexual responses without the same physiological refractory period. So, the wife has an enormous sexual capacity. And when she freely expresses this within her marriage, her husband will have no reason to stray into extramarital affairs.
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷BOTH CREATED TO BE HOT
God, as the Scripture tells us, “is not the author of confusion.” (1 Corinthians 14:33). He did not create the husband to be sexually HOT and then create the wife to trail behind in sexual LUKEWARMNESS just because she is a woman. No, no, no!
🍷God never created that! Sinful human society did, through its satanic culture, with countless lies designed to brainwash women into believing that they are sexually less endowed than men and that sex is actually FOR men. Oh, what cruel and wicked lies!
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷THE LIBERTY-DRUNK COUPLE
Reading through the Song of Solomon, you encounter a couple who walked in sexual equality and mutual bodily liberty! They had nothing to do with shame, shyness, and bashfulness, but everything to do with bodily confidence and assertion.
🍷They admired and praised each other’s physical and bodily endowments, unlike the pigheaded fellow in yesterday’s devotional who reproached his wife because she was free with him during sexual intimacy. Such men are a disgrace to themselves and, unfortunately, expose their crass ignorance of what marriage is.
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷ON THE FIRST DAY OF MARRIAGE
After God instituted marriage, the first thing He said was about husband and wife becoming one flesh:
📖“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24).
🍇And why did God declare this fundamental matrimonial truth so early? It is because it is foundational to the success and well-being of the union.
🍷And when spouses know and believe that they are one flesh, neither will mock the other about how they make love, what they say during the act, or the far-reaching extent to which they go in expressing their unique sexual glee and paroxysm—their sudden and uncontrollable outburst of sexual ecstasy—knowing that their partner is themselves and vice versa, and that such transport and rapture are perfectly natural during sexual intercourse and are God-designed!
🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇🍷🍷🍷CONCLUSION: TRANSFORMATION FROM SWINE TO WINE
If you’re a Swine Spouse, I’ve got good news for you: you can be transformed into a Wine Spouse! God can do it.
🍷Transforming from a Swine Spouse to a Wine Spouse is simple. It is a matter of removing one thing from your life. And that one thing is SIN, which is represented by the letter S in the word SWINE.
🍇And what do you do to get SIN removed from your life? You repent of your sins and believe on Jesus Christ.
📖“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:31).
🍷When you truly believe on Jesus Christ, you are saved and become a branch of Christ, Who is the True Vine:
📖“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.” (John 15:1).
🍷It is the Vine that produces wine.
📖“And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?” (Judges 9:13).
🍇So, once you believe on Christ, you become a branch of Christ, the True Vine, and as you follow Him and serve Him, you’ll be a Wine Spouse whose life oozes wine ceaselessly. And your husband or wife will enjoy you, and vice versa. 🍇🍷
