PAUL THE APOSTLE SPEAKING BY THE HOLY SPIRIT said: “WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I SPAKE AS A CHILD, I UNDERSTOOD AS A CHILD, I THOUGHT AS A CHILD: BUT WHEN I BECAME A MAN, I PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS.”(1 Corinthians 13:11). For most people, the “Childish” season of life lasts really long. This is especially so in their thinking and perception about Love Life. Right through their twenties into their late forties, their view of life is of smooth skins, black and full hair, wealth and all the other trappings of life. Not only that. They’re perception and view about love, romance, affection, passion and sexual intimacy is that they are things for the youthful stage of life. Infact, when such people see couples who are in their 70s and 80s, they wonder how on earth “these old people” could “manage” 😂😂😂 to make love? But when we mature and step into the true stature of the adulthood of the mind, we’ll have a new and better understanding and view of life; and especially of the Love Life. God designed and constructed the human life such that the Love Life is as long lasting and enduring as the respiratory system. In other words, your Love Life is intact, well and alive until your last breath. And that’s why it’s only Death, which is itself the cessation of breathing, that’s permitted to bring Marriage and all it’s beautiful components to an end. The “childish” man or woman wants continual smooth skin, black hair, etc. And when he or she begins to see grey hairs sprouting in his or her groin, head or armpits, they’re alarmed and feverishly head to the supermarket to buy some dye to colour their hair, especially on the head. And for most women the “escape route” is to quickly shop for a wig and possibly a collection of them in assorted colors and shapes. Some of the men quickly buy themselves a clipper or two and engage a Barber to give them a skin cut once every two days. But those who have indeed matured, become Men and put away childish things see the bodily changes that come with age as welcome blessings that they truly are. Sir/Ma, please hear this. When you begin to grey, you’ve entered a new and a higher realm of Beauty. Let’s look at God’s Word: “THE GLORY OF YOUNG MEN IS THEIR STRENGTH: AND THE BEAUTY OF OLD MEN IS THE GREY HEAD .” (Proverbs 20:29) Did you read that? God says there’s a higher beauty and handsomeness than the one you’ve always known and it’s the grey head! ” THE THE BEAUTY OF OLD MEN IS THE GREY HEAD. “!!! In another scripture we read: ” THE HOARY HEAD IS A CROWN OF GLORY , IF IT BE FOUND IN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS”(Proverbs 16:31) This scripture grants us a higher revelation about the grey head. It isn’t only Beauty to make you look great, it’s A CROWN OF GLORY 👑👑👑! In our anchor scripture, we have the account of how the King of Gerar took Sarah. He found her so alluring and so irresistibly desirable he felt he must have her. The question now is, how old was Sarah at this time that the King of Gerar found her so yummy, so delectable, so sexy and A REAL KNOCKOUT? She was 89 years old! She was grey headed and the grey hair was both Beauty and a Crown 👑 👑 of Glory on her; so much so that A KING couldn’t do but take her and wanted to sleep with her. If King Abimelech found Sarah so sexy at 89, what do you think that her husband, Abraham, was doing with her in his home? Just watching her? No. They had a steamy and hot romantic and sex life. Make no mistake about that! So, don’t say, “I’m now 70, 75, 80 years old. I better soft-pedal on love and romance.” No! You’re actually in your best season of Romantic Love. Therefore, keep your Marriage in top gear and keep all it’s components active.
