IN THE PAST FEW DAYS , WE SAW how Father Abraham married with great ease when he was past the age of 140 years and had a robust appetite and capacity for Sex; and going on to father a flock of vibrant sons. That’s one of the blessings of the Just. When you believe in God and walk with Him, your Sexuality, like every other part of your life, has no Sunset or Twilight season! Rather, it’s full of Light and this Light keeps increasing and intensifying as you age. That’s what our anchor scripture declares.
Today, we shall take a look at another Patriarch whose Love Life was fully vibrant when he was well past the age of 80. That Patriarch is Moses.
Among the millions of men that set out from Egypt to the promised land, there probably was no one as busy as Moses. With the heavy load of work he had on his hands daily as a Prophet, Lawgiver and Judge, Moses still had the sexual appetite and capacity to take A NEW WIFE!
“And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: FOR HE HAD MARRIED AN ETHIOPIAN WOMAN.”(Numbers 12:1).
Moses’ taking a new Wife and going into Honeymoon at such an advanced age says a lot about our sexual capacity as redeemed children of God.
Your Sexuality was constructed by God to last as long as your respiratory system. For as long as you are alive and breathing, your Sex Life should be alive and kicking. This is one the heritages of Believers.
Are you a husband? Know that your sexual organs and your mind were designed by God to function in full capacity till your last breath and that’s why His Word says “what God has joined, let no man put asunder.” Only death is permitted to bring your sexual activity in marriage to an end and not circumstances or something else.
God’s Word says:
“12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him”(Psalm 92:12- 15)
The portion of scripture quoted immediately above is loaded but we shall only consider verse 12 for now; and that verse tells us that the Righteous shall FLOURISH like the Date Palm Tree. And not only that, HE SHALL GROW LIKE THE CEDAR IN LEBANON”! Firstly, this verse shows clearly that the Righteous is completely different from the Sinner. The Righteous doesn’t just flourish. No. He flourishes after the Order of the Date Palm tree! The Date Palm is known to be fruitful but more importantly, it’s fruits get SWEETER AS IT GROWS OLDER!!! Do you get the Gist?? It means, that maritally speaking righteous couples get SWEETER sexually as they age. Do you now understand why God instituted marriage as a monogamy: One Man, One Wife? Because He knows that you don’t need another Partner as long as your Mate is alive. Your one Spouse is more than enough for you when you are living in Righteousness: your Spouse gets SWEETER with each new day!!
Secondly, verse 12 tells us that the Righteous GROW LIKE THE CEDAR IN LEBANON. Cedars grow differently from other trees. Whereas most trees grow vigorously upwards, the Cedar grows vigorously DOWNWARD. In other words, the Cedar’s growth is more in the “hidden region”of the underground. Similarly, the Believer focuses on his spiritual life that’s hidden from view while the Sinner focuses of his outward growth. When it comes to the quality of life, the Cedar is higher than most trees because it can live for thousands of years! It’s wood isn’t only fragrant, it’s precious and used in building palaces, in the construction of Ships, Guitars and other special things. The Believer is Cedar while Sinners are like the Chaff that the wind drives away (Psalm 1:4).
So, if you’re a Believer know that you’re sexually like the Date Palm Tree: the older you grow the Sweeter you become sexually. You are also like to Cedar tree: your Body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit is endowed with SEXUAL LONGEVITY.
When you hear Sinners talking about their sexual troubles, weaknesses, limitations, and how they have to use drugs and aphrodisiacs to cope in the Marriage, remember that they’re Chaff. You’re are Cedar, you have a different Sexual Life.
Dear Reader, if you’re not born again and your Sex Life is also nosediving, why not run to Jesus Christ NOW? Come to Him, Repent of your Sins and ask Him to come into your life and make you a new Creature and a Child of God.
