JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, I read a piece of news Online, about a Nigerian couple in England who got deported.
According to the News, the husband and wife had a misunderstanding and the wife headed for the Home Office and reported her husband, requesting his removal as her dependent. This, of course, wasn’t going to augur well for the husband. In retaliation, he went to the relevant Authority and exposed the wife: telling them that she was using a fake nursing degree. When the Office investigated the woman’s certificate and found it truly fake, they deported the entire family.
In the heat of Anger and domestic conflict, they both forgot what it cost them in money, time and efforts to leave the land of their birth in far away Africa to the Land of their Dreams. Suddenly, nothing else mattered except how to cheaply deal with each other. And the cost of their angry, shameful and vengeful conduct is a disgraceful expulsion and repatriation from a country where many have gone, lived for years and bettered their lives and been a blessing to others.
They had successfully left the shores of their native land but the rude and crude behaviours they hadn’t thought necessary to conquer undid them. Their incessant bickerings, lack of temperance and unbridled tongues finally brought them to ruin. They gave so much room to the Flesh and the Flesh did what it’s best at: it consumed them.
With what face would they return to their home village? What reasons would they give to friends and loved ones who will ask why they’re so suddenly back home? How will they live under one roof after such grave betrayal of one another? How will they have Sex after such cruel backstabbing of each other?
When you are angry, mind what you do and what you say.
No matter the provocation from your spouse, THINK BEFORE YOU REACT.
