LIFE IS SPLIT INTO SEASONS AND TIMES and it’s of uttermost importance that you know what season you’re in and to make the most of it before it’s over. Yes, every season is timed.
All the years that you were growing up, one of your parents’ duties was to guide, instruct and restrain you from irresponsible behaviour with the opposite sex. It was their duty to train you to refrain from all manner of conduct that would harm your prospects of getting married and having a happy home in the future. All these are especially true in the lives of daughters.
However, the moment you got married, you walked into a completely new Season: THE SEASON OF LOVE.
This is the season your parents worked so hard to protect you FOR and now that you’re in it, you’re free to give yourself to your Spouse and to also freely enjoy them.
Unfortunately, some Spouses continue to practice in Marriage the self-restraint they were taught as singles. They largely keep themselves from their husband or wife. When you do this in marriage, you’re heading in the direction of DANGER!🚨🚨🚨
Such self restraint isn’t chastity but foolishness and could easily push your Spouse into infidelity and consequently getting infected with some incurable sexually transmitted disease. And guess who will first catch it from your Mate? You who is practicing “over-morality” in Marriage.
Dearly Beloved, the moment you got married, you needed from that time to walk in the footsteps of the woman in our second anchor Scripture for today(Song of Solomon 3:1-2A).
As you can see, the lady woke up in the night having a desire for the presence of her husband. As the desire persisted, she decided to go out and look for him!
Perhaps, you’re quietly saying: “Wait a minute! Is that kind of behaviour not scandalous and demeaning for a woman? Is it not a man that should voice his desire to his wife? Should it be the other way round?” Yes, it could be the other way round!!!! And that’s exactly why that Scripture is made available for us: that wives may learn that they are as free to take sexual and romantic initiatives in Marriage; as much as their husbands!!
One of the things you must not allow to have a place in your life as you relate with your husband or wife in
Marriage is SHAME!
PERFECT LOVE doesn’t only cast out Fear, it violently destroys Shame!!!
In Marriage, the body of the husband belongs to the wife and that of the wife belongs to the wife(1 Corinthians 7:4). Therefore, any of them is free to initiate romance or sexual intimacy at any time.
