🤎💕🤍Our anchor scripture shows that Father Abraham married a young woman when he was well past 140 years old and had a vibrant and energetic romantic life that produced six healthy sons! Six sons! Wow!!
🤎💕🤍So if you’ve been slowfooted in the bedroom because you’re approaching your 100th birthday, then today’s Lovebirds’ Devotional has come to help you see things differently. It’s a piece you’ll do well to read and reread.
🤎💕🤍 NO RETIREMENT IN MARRIAGE
Dear Spouses, please hear this and always bear it in mind: Marriage Is An Ageless Life!
🤎💕🤍After many years of service in your chosen career, you’re retired to go home and enjoy your pension. But in God’s pioneer institution called Marriage, there’s no retirement! Infact, there are no breaks and holidays.
🤎💕🤍Your love life as designed and constructed by God is similar to your respiratory system. It’s strong and durable enough to last you till your last breath. Every component of it must be exercised and used until your last breath.
🤎💕🤍It means then that for as long as you and your spouse are alive, those embraces, kisses, touches, etc, that characterised your union in it’s “sunrise years” must be continued until the midnight of life when death finally seperates you.
🤎💕🤍THE EXAMPLE OF ABRAHAM
When Father Abraham married young Keturah, there was no room for practicing “Grandfather Marriage” because God did not design marriage to be altered to fit AGE. It’s either Marriage, with all it’s original components or nothing else. So Father Abraham was everything that a young man of her age could have been to Keturah. And that’s how it should be in marriages. Because Marriage Is An Ageless Life!
🤎💕🤍Leave your age far away when you are with your spouse. Let Love flow and romance glow: irrespective of the fact that you’re now a grandparent. You’re grandparents to your grandchildren and not to each other. When with each other, the twinkle and sparkles of love should always be in your eyes for each other!
🤎💕🤍ENDOWED TO FLOURISH IN OLD AGE
Long ago, I read that the strongest instinct in Man is the instinct for survival and the very next is the sexual instinct. Father Abraham and other patriarchs in Scripture are clear proofs that the sexual instinct is long lasting and enduring. And this is more so in the lives of those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and have been redeemed by His Blood.
🤎💕🤍Hear what the Scripture about the righteous concerning sexual ardour:
“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
THEY SHALL STILL BRING FORTH FRUIT IN OLD AGE; THEY SHALL BE FAT AND FLOURISHING”(Psalm 92:13-14).
🤎💕🤍These scripture show that the righteous will continually FLOURISH! It becomes even clearer in the second verse which is in capital letters. That verse says that the reproductive system of the righteous shall be fully functional in old age! Put very plainly it means that the upright man or woman will be sexually virile, agile and fully functional irrespective of their age. They shall not dry up. Instead, they shall be fresh and fat sexually.
🤎💕🤍That’s why Father Abraham was fresh and strong sexually despite his age.
🤎💕🤍And if you’re a Believer, hear this: you are spiritually a seed of Abraham and his blessings are all yours. This includes his sexual and romantic longevity. Hear what the Bible says:
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise”.(Galatians 3:29). As a Believer, therefore, you’re a child of Abraham by faith and can enjoy the same romantic longevity he enjoyed.
🤎💕🤍 THE POWER OF THE INDWELLING SPIRIT
And more importantly, remember this: as a child of God, your Body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who indwells you continually and can quicken your mortal body to perform acts that are beyond your natural abilities. So draw on these spiritual realities and live an extravagant love life in your marriage.
🤎💕🤍When these scriptural realities shape your matrimonial mindset, you won’t need any aphrodisiacs. Father Abraham didn’t need any!
