🌹🍊🍎In yesterday’s devotional, we saw that misogynists are men who hate women, while misandrists are women who harbor a deep hatred for men. Of course, these are not natural mindsets; such individuals have had their minds twisted by Satan, the devil.
🌹🍊🍎PHILOGYNISTS AND PHILANDRISTS
Thankfully, there are people who are the complete opposites of the deconstructed men and women mentioned in the previous paragraph. They are philogynists and philandrists.
A philogynist is a man who loves and admires women, while a philandrist is a woman who loves and admires men. Such admiration and appreciation of the opposite gender have nothing to do with lust; rather, it is a healthy and innocent appreciation of the opposite gender as a masterpiece of God’s grand ingenuity.
🌹🍊🍎MARRIAGE: A WORLD OF LOVE EXPLORERS
In marriage, God has given you an uncommon opportunity to see, touch, taste, hear, smell, feel, and “breathe” a mature person of the opposite sex at an absolutely close range within a legitimate union.
Unfortunately, many spouses are not conscious of the need to explore the vast world of love that their marriage offers.
On the contrary, some set their minds and interests on defiling themselves with “strange” partners outside their marriage when they have yet to discover even 5% of the treasures of love stockpiled for them within their own spouse.
🌹🍊🍎HISTORY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL
In primary school history, we were taught about European explorers such as Hugh Clapperton, Christopher Columbus, Prince Henry the Navigator, and Mungo Park.
Through their explorations, these men opened the eyes of humanity to new territories and horizons never known before.
With the knowledge of these new lands, humanity progressed and the quality of life greatly improved!
🌹🍊🍎TIME TO BECOME LOVE EXPLORERS
Sir/Ma, your marriage is a vast and majestically beautiful world. However, unless you become a “love explorer,” the romantic riches in its uncharted territories, regions, and domains will elude you.
Are you a husband or a wife? It is time to take a new interest in the member of the opposite gender in your life: your spouse! It is time for both of you to explore your mutual love lives. There is always more to explore and so much more to discover.
You have stayed at the superficial levels of your romantic life long enough.
Prayerfully plunge deeper, fly higher, dream bigger, and reach beyond the stars for a renewed and reinvigorated love life that goes far beyond anything you have known.
There is always more, if only you will reach out!
