🌌🍁🌠🍂🌴🌾Colonel Jack Lousma, an American astronaut, spent nearly two months in space in 1973.
🍁Sometime after he returned, he testified in the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Voice magazine—a copy of which I read over twenty years ago—that the number of planets out there in space was so high that, if the planets were to be distributed to human beings, everyone, including children, would have no less than two planets! Just imagine yourself being in command of two planets!
🌌When I read that long ago, I was simply astounded. What! You mean there are so many planets, whereas we were taught in primary school that there were only nine planets?
🌾It should interest you to know that, over time, further scientific discoveries have proved Colonel Lousma’s famous observation about the vastness of the universe to be perfectly true.
🌌🍁🌠🍂🌴🌾THE SCALE OF THE UNIVERSE
Our galaxy, the Milky Way, alone contains an estimated 100 billion to 400 billion stars, and there is at least one planet orbiting or circling every star. This means there are hundreds of billions of planets in our galaxy—the Milky Way galaxy alone. Think about that!
🦋Now, it will shock you to learn that there are an estimated two trillion galaxies in the observable universe. When multiplied by the planetary average per galaxy, the total number of planets in existence reaches into the septillions (1 followed by 24 zeros)!
🌌🍁🌠🍂🌴🌾THE QUESTION IS…
Remember, I said earlier that we were taught in primary school that there were nine planets. This was in the mid-1960s.
🌴But because scientists kept relentlessly probing into the universe, they have discovered that there are literally septillions of planets and not just nine!
🌌🍁🌠🍂🌴🌾WE’RE NOT STUDYING SPACE SCIENCE HERE
Just as the universe is vast, so are many of the things in it deeper and greater than they appear.
🤎To be specific, marriage and love life are deep and vast, and you need, like the scientists, to be curious, inquisitive, eager, zealous, and hungry to know more about them, to explore them, and to discover their uncharted territories.
🏵️Unfortunately, this isn’t what most married couples are doing. Upon experiencing a little misunderstanding or disappointment, they are thinking of going into extramarital affairs, quitting, divorcing, or doing something even more foolish. If explorers, inventors, astronauts, oceanographers, etc., quit so easily, tell me what the world would be like by now? We would still be in the Dark Ages.

When God blessed the first couple and commissioned them to replenish the earth and subdue it(Genesis 1:28), He was speaking to scientists as well as to spouses.
🍂Scientists have filled the earth with things that generations past never thought possible, and they have subdued heights, depths, and distances. It is time for spouses to relentlessly explore their respective marriages and fill them with more joy, friendship, cordiality, deeper affection, entrancing romance, unwaning passion, long-lasting sexual intimacy, etc.
🦛It is time for them to explore, probe, and discover through the spiritual life in Christ and physical commitment to their marriage vows, the possibilities that can lead to a matrimonial life that’s free of infidelity, domestic violence, and threats of divorce. This must start with you, the reader, and your spouse—and the time is today!🌠🌌
