🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒Today, we’re looking at some steps you’ll need to take if you truly want to enjoy a love-affair marriage.
🦬Before we go further, I think it is both important and necessary to define what a love-affair marriage is.
🐂A love-affair marriage is a marital relationship in which the spouses are consciously, deliberately, and intentionally in love with each other intensely, as if they have just gotten married. They have children, but you may not even know because they are so engrossed in loving each other and displaying affection that they seem to be singles!
🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒HOW TO HAVE A LOVE-AFFAIR MARRIAGE
So, what do you do to have such a thrilling union? Here are some of the steps to take:
🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒(1) BE DEVOTEES OF MARRIAGE
As we saw in yesterday’s devotional, one of the things that causes the fire of romance to go out in most marriages, leading, in several cases, to the hush-hush migration of disenchanted spouses into the deadly zone of extramarital affairs, is the abandonment of their fundamental identities as romantic lovers and their complete surrender to the roles of father and mother. That’s a grave error!
🐐To have a love-affair marriage, therefore, you and your spouse need to become marriage devotees. A marriage devotee is an ardent enthusiast, a passionate lover, and a strong admirer of married life as divinely ordained; and who believes in all the things that make marriage beautiful and promotes them in their own marriage with joy and enthusiasm.
🦛To enjoy a love-affair marriage, you and your partner need to purpose not to be an everyday, run-of-the-mill couple but to live radically as spouses who are in love with each other every day.
🐒Of course, this will involve practically living as romantic lovers round the clock. That’s why we said earlier that a love-affair marriage is deliberate and conscious: you don’t wait for it to happen spontaneously or by some stray chance. You make it happen by doing what lovers do. You take steps to ignite the emotions of love and the feelings of romance, and they follow.
🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒(2) ELIMINATE “THE WASTES” OF THE ONE-FLESH BODY
To have a love-affair marriage, another extremely crucial thing you must do is to eliminate the “wastes” of the one-flesh body daily.
🦘Now, let me explain.
🦌Your marriage has made you and your partner one flesh, and your one-flesh life is similar to your physical body.
🦒Your physical body must, on a daily basis, throw out all the waste products in it: sweat, urine, and faeces.
🐫Going without discharging bodily wastes for even one day can be dangerous to the body. That’s why we bathe to wash away sweat from our skin, urinate to eliminate liquid waste from the body, and go to the toilet to dispose of the body’s solid waste. And we do this EVERY DAY.
🐪As we do so, we maintain good health.
🦬Similarly, to have and enjoy a love-affair marriage, we must daily eliminate the hurts, offences, malice, grief, and other negative feelings that arise from our partner’s misbehaviour in the course of the day. We must forgive every wrong done to us by our marriage partner before the sun sets each day (Ephesians 4:26). Retaining these things in the one-flesh body is unhealthy, as our marriage will become sick and endangered.
🐂Therefore, throwing out offences, malice, unforgiveness, and other negative feelings on a daily basis is a must if we want to enjoy a love-affair marriage.
🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒(3) KEEP A SOUND AND FORWARD-LOOKING MIND
Let’s consider this Scripture:
📖”Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old” (Isaiah 43:18).
🐒This is a command directed at the mind.
🐅To have a love-affair marriage, you and your spouse must watch over your minds. You need to be mentally disciplined enough to keep all old and painful memories of the past completely out of your minds. Why? Because the devil uses such thoughts and mental pictures to haunt the mind and create strife between spouses.
🦛Causing people to remember negative incidents from the past is one of the devil’s tools for making spouses miserable. Don’t let the devil make you think backwards and remember the past deeds of your mate that broke your heart.
🦘Whenever the devil comes with such thoughts, stand firm in Christ and resist him, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
🦌Choose to be like the Apostle Paul, who said:
📖”Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” (Philippians 3:13b).
🐫Be committed to pressing into the future to attain and accomplish the great things God has in store for you as a couple.
🐫🐪🦘🦌🦒CONCLUSION
By God’s grace, we’ll draw the curtain on this teaching for today and continue tomorrow, as the Lord enables us.🐫🐪

“From this moment forward, never, ever be ashamed of your body again when naked! 🔬”Watermelon is often considered the top fruit for enhancing sexual prowess and blood flow, particularly for couples in their 60s and older. It is rich in an amino acid called L-citrulline, which the body converts into L-arginine.
