🍎This is exactly what God wants for you: to enjoy a marriage that never wanes or diminishes in quality and quantity but instead becomes ever sweeter, richer, and more exhilarating! This fully aligns with what Jesus said: “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). One of the benefits of the abundant life in Christ is access to the knowledge of how to live an ever-fresh, overflowing married life that’s anchored in the Word of God.

🥑🥝🍎🍐🍊🍋‍🟩🍈🫑WHAT IS A LOVE AFFAIR?
To begin with, let’s look at the meaning of “love affair.”

🍈A love affair is a romantic relationship between a man and a woman who are earnestly, fervently, and madly in love with each other.

🍎At the beginning of every serious love relationship between a man and a woman who are romantically interested in each other, there is a love affair. In this state, their hearts are ablaze with love for each other. They seek each other out through phone calls and WhatsApp messages, and they share interesting information and posts with each other. Put another way, there is robust and very healthy communication between them. They are never tired of each other. This is a love affair.

Going by what we have seen above as the trademark qualities of love affairs, it is obvious that virtually all married couples had a love affair, even if only briefly, before they finally tied the knot and became husband and wife.

🥑🥝🍎🍋‍🟩🍊🍈🍐🫑WHO TOLD THEM TO STOP?
Unfortunately, once married and living under the same roof, the selfsame man and woman who were so much in love with each other gradually stopped the love affair lifestyle, especially after they began having children. They suddenly dropped their identities as romantic lovers and buried themselves in the business of being Father and Mother, aka Daddy Junior and Mummy Junior.

🍋‍🟩However, this is a grave error that has ruined very many marriages. The sad outcome has been the secret migration of spouses into the hush-hush world of extramarital affairs, which is, in a sense, a search in a dangerous place for the love affair they once had.

🥑🥝🍎🍐🍊🍋‍🟩🍈🫑BUT YOUR LOVE ISN’T LOST!
However, the happy truth is that their love affair had not become extinct. It was still there, but it had become mere dying embers buried under a huge pile of “ashes” called tradition. It only needs to be fanned back into the huge, blazing flames that it used to be—and it can be!

🥑🥝🍎🍋‍🟩🍊🍐🍈🫑RETURN TO YOUR STATUS AS LOVERS
As we have already seen, one of the things that caused the fire of the love affair to die down was the couple’s abandonment of their identities as real-life lovers and their decision to bury themselves solely in their roles as Father and Mother.

🍊But you were designed by God to function fully and successfully as firebrand lovers and good parents at the same time. You never needed to stop being lovers in order to be good parents.

🥝So, return immediately to your primary status as romantic lovers. That is the first step towards enjoying a love-affair marriage.
