🪶🐿️🍂🤎As we saw in yesterday’s devotional message, the mastermind behind extramarital affairs in all its shades and forms is Satan, the Old Serpent! If you’re involved in extramarital affairs, just know that that Old Serpent has already taken you captive.
🪶🐿️🍂🤎DECEPTION AS A TOOL
And just as he used deception to bring Adam and Eve to ruin, one of his chief means for furthering extramarital affairs, which has taken millions down into the cavernous depths of Hell, is DECEPTION!
🪶Just take a look at the world, and you’ll easily see that blatant evil is declared to be good. And it has been this way for centuries; that’s why God speaks in our anchor scripture against those who perpetuate it.
🪶🐿️🍂🤎ADULTERY PROMOTED AS SWEETER AND BETTER…
There is a doctrine of devils that is being quietly taught across the earth. The Bible sums it up in eleven words:
“Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” (Proverbs 9:17).
🐿️But the devil makes sure that the gullible people who accept this doctrine don’t see the full picture of what he presents to them, as revealed in the following verse:
“Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.” (Proverbs 20:17).
🍂Note that what fills the mouth after eating the bread of deceit isn’t sand. What fills their mouth is gravel. Gravel is a torment to chew or swallow. And that’s the kind of tortuous situation extramarital affairs brings people into: a state of severe suffering, anguish, utter misery, and helplessness!
🪶🐿️🍂🤎MILLIONS DECEIVED INTO EARLY DEATH BY EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIRS
You’ll be surprised at how many precious lives this evil doctrine, packed into a few words, has brought to absolute ruin, desolation, and regretful death!
🤎Because of this doctrine, millions of married persons secretly believe that “the real sweet sex” is the forbidden one: adultery, fornication, lesbianism, etc. But it is so unfortunate that people would allow themselves to be so easily misled into believing and accepting such obvious lies and fallacies.
🪶🐿️🍂🤎HEAR THE TRUTH AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
The truth about infidelity or extramarital affairs is that it is deadly, venomous, and unsparingly destructive. It does not respect your status, education, or station in life. Hear these precious truths:
“For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.” (Proverbs 5:3–4).
🪵The two verses above REVEAL the real nature of extramarital affairs. It’s not all fun, as you think or assume. Sure enough, it offers a measure of fun, but it will give you other things that you didn’t desire, ask for, or bargain for: it will force-feed you with the extreme bitterness of wormwood, and it will hand a two-edged sword to the spirit of retributive justice to hack you up alive, slowly, until you’re finally dead.
🍯Hear the solemn warnings of the Spirit of God concerning infidelity:
“8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
9 Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
10 Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;
11 And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed.” (Proverbs 5:8–11).
🫘The portion of Scripture above first tells you what to do about infidelity: KEEP VERY FAR FROM IT!
🍠This means that mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, you should keep very far from extramarital affairs. Why? Because, like leprosy, extramarital affairs are highly contagious. So, you must consciously, intentionally, and purposefully see to it that nothing in you ever becomes inclined towards it.
🪶That portion of Scripture also shows that extramarital affairs lead to economic ruin, loss of honour, and the disgraceful collapse of personal health as the victim pines away with incurable venereal diseases.
🪶🐿️🍂🤎MANY DIED IN UTTER HUMILIATION AND DISGRACE
When the devil lures people into extramarital affairs, his real goal isn’t for them to enjoy the act but to thoroughly disgrace them and render them broken and empty in their last days. Many sexually transmitted diseases can lead to tragic outcomes, and they include syphilis.
🐿️Syphilis is a major sexually transmitted disease historically known to cause a slow, physically devastating, and mentally debilitating decline if left completely untreated.
🍂Others are human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B.
🤎Besides these, there are sexually transmitted diseases which, even though they do not necessarily lead to death, can leave their victims severely affected health-wise because they are incurable. These include hepatitis B, herpes, HIV, and HPV.
🪶🐿️🍂🤎CONCLUSION
Dearly beloved, whenever you’re provoked by the behaviour of your spouse or by your own unbridled lust to go into infidelity, remember that it’s the Old Serpent that’s whispering to you, and his aim is to thoroughly disgrace and destroy you with a sexually transmitted disease.
🪵Extramarital affairs are never fun, have never been fun, and never will be. They are a pathway into gloom, doom, and utter humiliation, as millions have found out—many of them after being infected with a venereal disease and passing the same disease on to their innocent partners.
🍯Therefore, beware!!!! Turn from extramarital affairs today!!!!!🍂🤎
