🥭🍄🍁🌶️King Solomon married seven hundred wives, all of them princesses, and he had three hundred concubines besides. Altogether, there were one thousand women in his life (1 Kings 11:3).
🪵He was the richest man in gold and silver, and he probably also wanted to be known and remembered as the richest in women.
🍂I am in no doubt that he wanted to enjoy the very best of sensual and sexual pleasures. There is nothing wrong with such a desire in itself. But there was everything wrong with the way he went about it.
🐿️He pursued it in a way that cut short his life, robbing him of longevity as well as the greatest of all possessions: a vibrant spiritual relationship with God Almighty.
😭Solomon ended up dying in his fifties because his foreign wives turned his heart away from God to idols.
🥭🍄🍁🌶️A THOUSAND SHADES OF BEAUTY IN ONE WIFE
The truth is: all that Solomon sought in a thousand women, he could easily have found in one wife.
🎈The time, energy, and resources he dissipated in courting and caring for seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines could have been invested in one wife who would, in return, have joyfully submitted to him and given him all the sensual and sexual delight he craved.
😭Instead, many of the wives and concubines he brought unto himself brainwashed him and led him astray into idol worship. Just imagine the son of King David, the Psalmist, becoming an idol worshipper and building pagan temples openly in Jerusalem!
🥭🍄🍁🌶️MONOGAMY IS BEST
Monogamy is best. There is nothing quite like a husband and wife in a monogamous marriage who have come to a shared understanding of biblical marriage and zealously live it out every day.

DE-RITUALIZING SEX WITHOUT APOLOGY!
In marriage, spouses are at liberty to seize every available opportunity to explore the riches of love by performing acts of kindness, compassion, and service for each other, as well as by making love freely, wholeheartedly, and without apology. However, this liberty must be exercised with discretion, wisdom, and a high sense of responsibility.
💐Spouses who make good use of this freedom will discover that marriage can make life something of a little heaven on earth, providing comfort, consolation, rejuvenation, and refreshing relief from the sweltering heat of life’s many oppressive challenges. Marriage is indeed an oasis of love in the desert called “the world”.
🥭🍄🍁🌶️A THOUSAND WAYS OF LOVING
There are a thousand and one godly ways to express your love for each other as spouses, and it is your joyful privilege and responsibility to take the time to discover every one of them, one by one, and explore them to the fullest.
🥰There are also countless ways to express each of those acts of love. You discover them as the two of you choose to be adventurous and creative lovers within your marriage relationship. Ensure that everything you do remains within the boundaries of holiness and righteousness.
🥭🍄🍁🌶️MARRIAGE IS A COVENANT LIFE
Marriage is never a hobby, as you ought to have known by now. What God left heaven to institute in Eden was not a mere hobby. It is far loftier than that.
🍓Marriage is a covenant relationship and a covenant way of life. It is a core part of your earthly pilgrimage. Therefore, it is imperative that you make it one of your life’s major emphases—one of your foremost priorities—into which you intentionally invest your time, energy, and resources to see it flourish.
🥭🍄🍁🌶️CONCLUSION: WATER YOUR MARRIAGE DAILY
Never rest on your oars or become complacent simply because your marriage is still hale and hearty, although that is certainly a testimony.
🍇I can assure you that the adversary—even Satan—is earnestly seeking ways to bring your union down.
🫧Therefore, take time to “water” your marriage every day.
🪴View your relationship as a young and tender flowering plant that needs watering every morning before sunrise and every evening at dusk.
💦You water your marriage by showing one another kindness, compassion, tenderness, forgiveness, and genuine care. You also do so by being romantic, affectionate, and amorous toward each other daily.
🩵Never say, “But we did all these things yesterday. Must they be done again today?” Yes, they must be done every day because they are the nourishment and maintenance your union needs. Just as you eat and bathe every day, so also should you practise these things daily, so that your marriage never grows weak and collapses when the devil sends his wind, rain, and flood against you and your spouse, as he has done to many others. For he surely will. We simply do not know when.🥭🌶️
