GOING ON ROMANTIC GETAWAYS!

Scripture:
‘COME, MY BELOVED, LET US GO FORTH INTO THE FIELD; LET US LODGE IN THE VILLAGES.’
(SONG OF SOLOMON 7: 11)

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞After the six days of creative work, God paused and took a break. Was He tired? No! Hear what the Bible says about Him:
“Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding” (Isaiah 40:28).
God never grows tired or weary. Yet, after the work of creating the heavens and the earth, He rested. Why? Because it is wisdom to do so.

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞THE WISDOM OF GOING ON ROMANTIC GETAWAYS
Great lovers not only understand the concept of getting away to be alone together from time to time and unwind, but they also highly treasure it. This practice is called “a romantic getaway.” The couple in the Song of Solomon practised it, showing that it has existed for millennia. Let’s read:
“Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages” (Song of Solomon 7:11).
This verse was spoken by the lady in the Song of Solomon. She was proposing to her spouse that they go on a romantic getaway to the countryside, where nature flourishes, serenity abounds, and there is no noise pollution.
The truth is that love affairs thrive when spouses change environments from time to time and renew the ambience of their relationship. It is comparable to renovating the interior decoration of a church sanctuary. The new look has a way of positively impacting the members’ worship experience. Similarly, when spouses are in beautiful and romantic surroundings, their affection, passion, and sex drive surge. They become rejuvenated and more willing to respond to each other.

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞EDEN WAS A GARDEN OF LOVE!
Have you ever wondered why God planted a vast garden that could conveniently accommodate four rivers and made it the home of the first couple? According to researchers, the Garden of Eden was as large as three big countries merged together. What did Adam and Eve need such an extra-large estate for? They needed it for romantic renewal and matrimonial tourism!
When you see couples crisscrossing countries today for vacations, remember that Adam and Eve crisscrossed the vast Garden of Eden thousands of years earlier.
So, the point is this: your love life has a nature that responds to new environments, as well as new and positive experiences. They give it a new breath of fresh air.

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞YOU DON’T NEED TO GO FAR
Of course, not everyone can afford to travel to distant vacation spots like Paris, Bali, the Maldives, Dubai, Tokyo, or Rome. In fact, the lady in our anchor scripture did not even propose travelling to a cosmopolitan setting. She wanted them to visit the countryside. So, you do not necessarily have to fly out of your country to enjoy an exhilarating romantic getaway!
There are beautiful spots within your locality that offer the right atmosphere for renewed romance. Search for such places. Then plan, prepare, and go there for a wonderful time together. It could be for two hours, half a day, one full day, or an entire weekend.
It is embarking on such retreats from time to time that gives spouses treasure troves of memories to fondly look back on in the future. They give you stories to tell about your marital journey. And whenever misunderstandings occur and try to tear you apart, you will be surprised at how memories of those beautiful moments will give you reasons not to turn your backs on each other.

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADVENTUROUS LOVE
Staying at home for months with your kids, house helps, and visitors all milling around somehow limits your liberty as lovers, and understandably so. You are careful to avoid doing anything that could be embarrassing to you or unhealthy for your children’s moral and spiritual development.
But when you are on a romantic getaway, especially in a place where you are not known, you have the liberty to express your love more freely. Let us once again look at the spouses in the Song of Solomon:
“Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourishes, whether the tender grape appears, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves” (Song of Solomon 7:12).
In this verse, the lady proposed that they go out to the vineyards very early in the morning, before people would wake up. What for? To behold the blooming orchards in the glow of the sunrise and thereafter she would strip for them to make love under the open sky, surrounded by trees and singing birds!
No couple would have such a getaway and forget it. It would be happily etched in their minds forever. Such audacious acts of love reinforce romance, affection, and commitment.

🤎💜🎶🎵🎸🍷🍞CONCLUSION
As we can see from this teaching, another powerful way of fortifying and consolidating your marriage is by planning, preparing for, and going on romantic getaways from time to time. And it is not as costly as you may be thinking.
